Message	I.e. from your personal reference frame in the car, the dashboard is not moving, but the tree by the side of the road is moving a 65 mph. You are talking about the frame of reference of a bystander watching the car and the hail move...that's fine and valid, but not convenient for my discussion. So actually, the hail velocity does indeed depend on the speedometer reading...in the car's reference frame, which is also fine and valid. - John
